Two River Films is an independent Omani production company specialising in documentary films and long-form docuseries with international broadcast and streaming potential.

Founded by Iraqi-British filmmaker Hussain, the company produces premium, story-driven content rooted in the Arab world and shaped for global audiences. Two River Films is the first Omani production company to produce a documentary series broadcast on a major international streaming platform outside of Oman, and is currently in production on the first Omani-produced documentary series of its kind.

Our work focuses on sport, culture, and human stories, combining cinematic craft with editorial depth.

Despite the Arab world’s deep cultural and creative history, its stories have often been told from the outside. In global documentary and sports storytelling, productions across the region have traditionally been led by international teams, with limited long-term investment in local voices, crews, or creative leadership.

This has resulted in a gap between the richness of the region’s stories and how they are represented on the global stage.

Two River Films exists to help close that gap. We believe world-class documentary storytelling can be developed, produced, and led from within the region, using local talent and regional insight while meeting international broadcast standards.

Based in Oman and aligned with the country’s long-term cultural ambitions under Vision 2040, Two River Films aims to position the Sultanate as a hub for premium documentary production.

Our vision is to create authentic, high-quality films and series that resonate globally while remaining culturally grounded. We are committed to developing local talent, building sustainable creative pipelines, and producing work that reflects the depth, ambition, and complexity of the Arab world.
